Just Fa & Geo
Berlin, Germany
Just Fa & Geo are Berlin-based interdisciplinary duo whose collaborative practice brings together sound, performance, installation, and participatory storytelling. Drawing from their distinct artistic backgrounds, they create immersive environments that invite audiences into spaces where memory, imagination, identity, and collective experience intersect. ((test3))
Just Fa, the solo project of Istanbul-born violinist and interdisciplinary artist Fatmanur Şahin, uses violin, voice, synthesisers, field recordings, spoken word, and live electronics to create emotionally layered sonic landscapes that move between intensity, vulnerability, and trance-like states.
Geo is a multidisciplinary artist, curator, and cultural producer whose practice explores themes of memory, care, human connection, and social participation. Working across performance, installation, and community-engaged art, she creates spaces that encourage reflection, encounter, and collective imagination.
Together, they develop works that blur the boundaries between installation and experience, combining sound, objects, and audience participation to create environments where personal and shared narratives can unfold.

Artist Statement
For Underground Garden, Just Fa and Georgina Magklara present Encounter, an interactive installation exploring the meeting point between childhood, imagination, memory, and adulthood.
Populated by dolls, doll clothes, a tea-party setting, and small handmade figures hidden throughout the space, the installation creates a familiar yet slightly uncanny environment. The dolls carry traces of being loved, played with, altered, and repaired. They reflect the adults we once imagined ourselves to be, while the miniature figures evoke the dreams, fantasies, and imagined worlds that accompany us through life.
At the heart of the work lies a simple paradox: as children, we play at becoming adults; as adults, we often return to childhood in search of wonder, comfort, and meaning. Encounter invites visitors to move between these worlds, discovering fragments of memory and imagination embedded within the installation.
In the context of Underground Garden, the work reflects on the hidden landscapes we carry within us. It offers a space where the past is not merely remembered but encountered again, and where childhood and adulthood coexist in an ongoing dialogue between reality and imagination.
