JIMI & DDAARR
Berlin, Germany
JIMI (Johanna) Tüscher is a musician and composer whose artistic practice moves between classical, contemporary, electronic, and cinematic sound worlds. She began playing the violin at the age of four and appeared early as a soloist and prizewinner in competitions.
She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Basel under Barbara Doll and continued her studies with Boris Kuschnir in Graz, graduating both with highest distinction. The violin has taken her to the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, Kronberg Academy and competitions as part of the Modulor Quartett.
Recently, Jimi has increasingly focused on electronic music and interdisciplinary formats,
including a performance at Belvedere 21 in Vienna of a work by Sell based on drone-strike data combining installation, electronics, and live performance.
Jimi composes electronic, cinematic, and contemporary music, studying a degree in film
composition at Filmuniversität Babelsberg. With the violin, she performed at Berghain and other Berlin clubs. She is also part of PlayGrounding, an artistic project exploring Ayurveda and the five elements through sound and movement.
DDAARR is a Berlin-based multidisciplinary artist and musician. Her work brings together
sound, visual art, physical processes, and an interest in how materials behave. She began
playing the flute at the age of eleven and has since performed in ensembles and orchestras.
Alongside classical music, she has explored jazz, African rhythms and percussion, and Afro-Cuban traditions.
Her visual practice includes drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and video. Her
background in art, design, earth sciences and physics continues to influence how she
approaches sound and art.
She was involved in activist initiatives, working on collective organisation and exploring
alternative forms of political engagement and imagination.
DDAARR currently studies electronic music production at 343 Labs in Berlin. She works with modular synthesis, builds her own synthesisers, and creates audiovisual projects with TouchDesigner. Her work is based on experimentation, using sound, images, and physical processes to create open-ended spaces for curiosity and play.

Artist Statement
Game of Akash
Game of Akash is a participatory sound performance exploring the shifting boundaries between chaos and order through collective perception and interaction.
Participants enter an unfolding sonic field, where sounds, gestures, bodies and resonances constantly affect one another. Patterns arise, dissolve and return, becoming forms of memory and something to hold onto within the field of sound.
Inspired by Akash, Sanskrit for the element of space, the installation approaches space as the ground that enables vibration, relation and perception to unfold. Within this shared field, each participant takes on a role of either reinforcement, care or resistance, interacting with the patterns they perceive through voice, body and listening.
Their actions influence what becomes audible, what is sustained, transformed, obscured or allowed to fade. As order becomes repetition, resistance transforms structures, and care tries to sustain, while the boundaries remain fluid.
